It is our heart’s desire to obey the voice of the Lord and assist parents in educating their children. We strive to help each student not only achieve academic excellence, but also develop Christian character, respect for authority and others, and especially a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As we follow the guidance of the Lord, it is our prayer that students discover their individual gifts and develop spiritually, emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
Beginning in first grade, our students utilize a workbook curriculum published by Accelerated Christian Education®, which has more than 45 years in the education business. ACE maintains high Biblical and academic standards and remains committed to setting children on a path for success. Their goal has always been to prepare children for the world today and give them the academic and spiritual tools necessary to achieve their God-given potential, which has also been the goal of FCA since its beginning in 1987.
Students work in five core subject areas: language arts, math, science, social studies, and spelling. Enrichment curriculum is also available in subjects such as Bible Reading, Animal Science, and Literature and Creative Writing. As students enter their high school years, there are also additional subjects for students to work in to help prepare them for college and the work force that they will soon be entering.
Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students utilize A Beka’s K4 and K5 curriculum. Four and five-year-olds are eager to learn and have achieved great success through the A Beka programs. Students enjoy a balanced learning approach and great care has been taken to consider every developmental facet for this age group. They are given a good foundation in basic skills and are well prepared to succeed in elementary school.
The program includes a basic phonics reading program that teaches basic reading skills using an intensive phonics approach, not just sight reading. Other areas taught include numbers, counting, addition and subtraction, time, money, number words, writing, science, social studies, Bible, and character training. Students also learn through Fine Arts, such as art, songs, and drama.
All grade levels participate in extracurricular classes and activities. We also have regularly scheduled chapel services and field trips which are approiate for each age group.
