Faith Assembly of God began services on May 31, 1963, when a small group of faithful Christian believers took God at His word! They were meeting in a two-story house across the street from the current church facilities. At first, there were just two or three families; however, within three months there were six or seven families attending on a regular basis. The church was set in order by Rev. M.J. Dickson on March 17, 1964.
The original part of the present facility formerly belonged to the Church of Christ, which put the building up for sale. The small congregation wanted the property, but someone else was already in the process of purchasing it. This body of believers was lead by the Lord to prayerfully march around the church property every service night and claim it by FAITH. They were obedient to the leading of the Lord and He proved Himself to them. It wasn’t long before the property was purchased by these believers who named the church Faith Assembly of God - a testimony to the faith that God had deposited in their hearts for the church He was creating.
Since the time of its beginnings, the church has had several pastors, each of whom have committed their ministry to the vision of the church. We are thankful to God for the Pastors He has sent through the years to lead our congregation and share their vision and love for our community.

By 1987, the church had experienced tremendous growth and a new sanctuary was built and that is where services are held to this day. The old sanctuary still stands and is a vital part of church activities. It has been used for various purposes throughout the years, including a Christian school for 17 years.
We still have descendants of our charter members attending Faith Assembly today and they continue to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth as they were trained to do as children.
